Get Help Buying Concert Tickets in Korea
Updated: Feb 6, 2020
Depending on the concert you want to go to, it can be a really competitive process to get tickets to hot shows. K-Pop bands like EXO, Big Bang, BTS, Girl’s Generation, Super Junior and a long list of others are notorious for selling out online within a few minutes. Although these bands are really popular and have a lot of fans, there is a ton of speculation about how many of these tickets are purchased by resellers with the intent to profit from them.
With the amount of tickets that immediately go up for sale on reseller sites like ticketbay.com, it’s not hard to come to the conclusion that these resellers have perfected the art of hacking the system and snatching the best seats. Many real concert goers have just a narrow chance of getting tickets at face value. Totally unfair in our opinion.
To further complicate things for expats and people who don’t live in Korea, some websites are nearly impossible to use. The issues compound from having to buy tickets on websites that are sometimes only in Korean. If fans are dedicated enough to translate them they then find that they need a Korean ID and local mobile phone contract to create an account. If they somehow miraculously pass that stage, they then need a local Korean bank account or Korean credit card to finalize the purchase.
With K-Pop being on the center stage of popularity worldwide, what is Korea thinking by making it so difficult to buy concert tickets? We don’t know (shakes head).
But what we do know is that where there is a will, there is a way. Wonderful is a virtual personal assistant service in Korea dedicated to helping expats and travelers get the most out of Korea. While we cannot guarantee that we are able to get tickets from the first seller sites, we are happy to try upon request. We absolutely do not buy tickets to resell. If in case shows sell out, we’re also able to help you buy tickets from 3rd party resellers and search for the most reasonable options based on your budget and seating preferences. Needless to say, most of these resellers don’t speak English so having a little bilingual help can go a long way.
As a time-based service, you only pay for the time it takes for us to assist you in your purchase. Since we already have accounts on most concert ticketing sites, you generally don’t have to hassle with creating a new account although there are some exceptions to this depending on the concert promoters. If possible, we’re happy to take the time to help you create your own account too.
Unlike scalpers we don’t mark up tickets at whatever the going price is and we don’t take a separate commission to profit from the sale. You can feel confident Wonderful is on your side. To learn more about Wonderful, visit us at www.gowonderfully.com or message us to simply get started.
Regarding our pricing, we charge for the time taken working on your request at 800 KRW/min (There is a 15% discount for first time users), and you can get a refund on the remaining time within 3 months. Typical concert ticket purchase requests would take from 30 minutes to an hour if shipping is involved. There are NO processing fees when you pay us via bank wire transfer. (You will pay only the cost of the item(s)). When we charge your bank card, there is an 8.5% processing fee that goes to the payment processor for their services. We do NOT benefit from this fee.
